Fun Story: Author's Note (not Part 1)

This week, I was scheduled to post the first of three installments of a fun story that I would have had written out of a word prompting exercise, last week. What is the thing that occurs before Part 1? Prelude? Page i? Whatever it is called, it usually is written after the story is written, but that's not the case here.

I am going to be more than a day late, and a couple of dollars short in delivering the 3-part series. My excuse this time? I started on one idea, then ditched it late Wednesday as it wasn't working for me. Thursday, I put together a new and much better and fun idea for the story, but still haven't completed it and let it rest so I can edit it properly.

"Yada, yada, yada. Tell it to the judge, missy, I'm still hauling your a** down to the clinker." said Mr. BigBlogPoliceMan.

"Where's my Miranda warning? Don't I have any rights?" the hopeful but weary WriterEngineer cried.

"Rights, schmitzets, you ain't got no stinkin' rights here," growled the gruff bear-like cop.

Since I'll be in the slammer until Thursday afternoon, be patient with me again, dear Reader. I don't expect that my bail will be set any earlier, things are a bit backwater here in my part of BlogLand. I can at least let my dear Readers know what my Word Prompting Exercise entailed. Once I get the story done, I hope you'll appreciate how difficult it was for me, being oppressed and all, and still trying to write something fun.

From Coffeehouse for Writers WritingPerc Digest, Number 486: "Use these words in a piece of writing: Resolutions, vanilla tea, gentle giant, snow shovel and a kidnapping." My additional constraints -- it has to be a 3-part bloggable story, about 500 - 700 words each post. More than that my Readers might get bored.

Ouch! Banged my head while being shoved in the paddy wagon/car. I will try to post on Thursday, if not, well definitely see you back here next Monday!
