Progress report

It's the Ides of July, and time for a progress report.

The Book: about 2-3 weeks behind schedule here. Partly due to vacation blues and other distractions - writing and other activities.

Short stories: two of them are coming along according to schedule. Need to find first venues for them, and should get them out the door end of the month.

Flash fiction, creative non-fiction and contest entries: waiting on one contest entry. Found another one I can enter by August end. Find other possible venues for them.

Writing groups: summer blues have got the best of them. Am trying to meet up with a like minded friend today.

I am about where I thought I'd be back in March. I've finally said my goodbyes, internally and externally. I feel like I am smiling inside out, walking into the unknown sunrise. Party's over, now the hard work is getting done. Hope the ghosts don't come back to haunt me, and if they do, I'll be better prepared. Who are you going to call?
